Who We Are

Statement of Faith of Blackrock Baptist Church

Blackrock Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church.  Subsequently, we endorse the same doctrinal statement that has been outlined in "The Baptist Faith & Message", published by the Southern Baptist Convention.  To read the entirety of this document, please click or tap on the white circle of the graphic image on the left.

As stated by John Kasper, Pastor of Blackrock Baptist Church, "We believe the Bible just as God wrote it.  If God did not mean what He said, then why didn't He say what he meant?  We believe that God meant exactly what He said.  Our declaration is that the Bible was and is inspired by the God who wrote it.  Our convictions are born out of the standards and principals we find in God’s word.  We believe God’s word to be timeless and unchanging.  The culture and society may change but God’s word stands forever!"

Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away.

Luke 21:33

Our Purpose

The greatest tragedy in life is not death, but dying without purpose. – Rick Warren .  We believe that God calls particular people to particular places for specific purposes.  We are  committed to helping you examine, embrace  and execute your purpose.  We want to equip you with all that you need to live a life that is pleasing to the Father and fulfilling to your areas of giftedness.

Our Mission

Whether it be a mission to the grocery store, the beach or our favorite vacation spot, as individuals our mission is constantly changing.  At Blackrock Baptist Church we have embraced a mission emphasis that has been two thousand years in the making!

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.  Amen

Matthew 28:19-20

With God’s Word as our guide, we are Discovering Disciples, Developing Disciples and then Deploying Disciples to be active in Kingdom Service.
