  • John and his wife, Melissa are lifelong Florida residents. Pastor John has served as the lead pastor at Blackrock Baptist since March of 2014.

    Previously, he was the pastor at Pecan Park Baptist where he served for thirteen years. Pastor John also serves as a volunteer chaplain with the Nassau County Sheriff’s office.

    He has been preaching since the age of 18. He earned his Associates degree from Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary in 1998. Pastor John’s hobbies are traveling with family, golf, Gator’s sports, and especially watching his favorite athletes perform (His kids.) John and Melissa are the proud parents of John Jr, Caleb, Jacob, and Leah. His life verse is Psalm 34:8- Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

    Pastor John’s life purpose is: “You cannot be the best at everything but at everything you can give your best for the glory of God!”

  • Pastor JD has been the Pastor to Students and Missions at Blackrock Baptist since October 2022.

    He is a lifelong Arkansas Razorback fan, and native Texan and has been involved in Student Ministry for almost 9 years.

    Pastor JD is married to his beautiful wife Carrie, and they currently have one daughter named Harper.

  • Gail Revels has been the Ministry Assistant and Financial Secretary at Blackrock Baptist since 2020.

    Prior to this, she spent 10 years working at the Florida Baptist Convention. Gail is an active member of Cedar Bay Baptist, where she volunteers her time and serves the community.

    She is married to Jeff, and they have two grown children, Josh and Amber, as well as six precious grandchildren.

  • Steve Zurcher has been the Church Administrator at Blackrock Baptist since March 2020.

    He was ordained in the Missionary Church and has served as a pastor in Jackson, MI and Nanakuli, HI. He was a missionary in Haiti for ten years, served as field director and district superintendent for World Partners, and later regional superintendent for the Missionary Churches of Hawaii and the Pacific Region.

    He is married to Lynn and they have three grown children, Christina, Melissa and Stephen.
